Opelousas – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin Elizabeth Connolley who passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at her residence in Prairie Ronde at the age of 59.
All funeral services will be held privately by request of the family.
Robin had a passion for dancing which she enjoyed for many years. She previously worked at Lawtell Elementary School as a secretary. She attended T. H. Harris and studied culinary arts which later lead her to cooking at Kings Truck Stop and The Quarters Restaurant. She enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being outdoors brought her joy, whether it was in the water or at the beach. As a pastime, she was an avid collector of Betty Boop and spent time with her animals. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Connolley of Opelousas; four brothers: Andrew “Andy” Connolley of Carencro; Chris Connolley of Texas; William “Billy” Sandusky of Lafayette; and Tony Pollard of Carencro; one sister, Terri Campbell of Ville Platte; a very special person in her life, Ricky Long of Prairie Ronde; four grandchildren: Elijah Connolley, McKenziee Touchet, Distiny Touchet, and Nickalos Connolley; and two great-grandchilden: Kyriee Touchet and Hensley Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Harrison Pollard, brother, Robert Pollard; two sisters, Cindy Connolley-Olivera and Debra “Debbie” Connolley Israel; and great-grandson, Zaydon Touchet.
