Rosa Devillier

Funeral services for Rosa Mae Devillier will be held Friday December 22, 2006 at 1:00pm at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Burial to take place at St. Peters Cemetery. Fr. Paul Lafleur will conduct the services.

Mrs. Devillier age 83 a resident of Grand Prairie died Wednesday December 20, 2006 at Opelousas General Health Systems. Mrs. Devillier was a loving mother, grand mother and great grand mother. She was a parishioner of St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie and was retired from the St. Landry Parish School Board.

Survivors include her son; Charles Ray Jones and his wife Novella of Grand Prairie, daughter; Jacqueline Scruggins of Port Barre, sisters; Eula Credeur of Opelousas and Helen Brooks of Eunice, brother; Ray Vidrine of Grand Prairie, seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband; Henry Jones, 2nd husband; Francis Devillier, parents; Arville Dupre and Alice Vidrine, step father; Antoine Vidrine, Sr., brothers; Golbert and Roy Dupre, Antoine, Burke and Lionel Vidrine.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00pm until 10:00pm and Friday from 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 6:00pm.

Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of the arrangements.
