Roy Dale Harrington, Jr., passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 38. He was born on March 18, 1988.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs from 11:00am until 8:00pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home from 8:00am until 9:45am.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs at 10:00am, with Pastor Henry Wallace officiating. The Committal will follow after the service.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Harrington, Alden Casse, Darrin Johnson, Jedadiah Youngs, Devin Duplissey and Kaimen Sanchez.

Roy worked as a lineman for 20 years, a role that reflected his dedication, strength, and willingness to work hard for those he loved. Beyond his work, he was a man of many gifts and passions. He loved to write music and was an accomplished song writer and guitar player, sharing his creativity in ways that brought joy to others. He was also a talented tattoo artist and a great cook, especially known for his rice and gravy.

Those who knew Roy will remember a man with a great sense of humor, the biggest heart, and the most amazing smile. He was a giant teddy bear to so many, always there for his family and making sure they never wanted for anything. A natural caregiver, Roy gave of himself freely and showed his love through his constant presence, protection, and devotion.

Above all else, Roy’s favorite thing in the world was being a father and a husband. That role meant the most to him, and it was where his love, pride, and generous spirit shone most brightly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 4 years, Dominiquea "Nikki" Harrington; his children, Gabriel Harrington, Jolie Harrington, Gerri Harrington, Jeremiah Harrington, Lyerick Dupont, Spencer Dupont and Reid Harrington; his parents; Roy Harrington, Sr. and Julie Kay Harrington; his sisters, Leona (Lona Bug) Harrington and Shira Harrington and her companion and Roy's best friend, Devin Duplissey); sisters-in-law, Lillionna Youngs and Madison White; his brother-in-law, Jedadiah Youngs; his father and mother-in-law, Aaron and Danielle Youngs; his 8 nephews and nieces; and a host of other dear family members and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his baby, Ember Harrington; his maternal grandparents; Jeremiah and Leona Disotell; his paternal grandparents, John and Corene Harrington; and his uncles, Kenry Disotell and Micheal Disotell.

Roy will be remembered with love for his warmth, his talents, his laughter, and the deep care he gave to the people closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
