Funeral services for Mr. Russell David will be held on Saturday, October 20th, 2007 at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, The interment will be in the Church Cemetery. The Rev. Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Mr. David, age 81, a resident of Krotz Springs died on Thursday, October 19th at his residence. He was a veteran of the Navy and served during World War 11. and was a member of the American Legions and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife; Lucy Mae Higdon David of Krotz Springs, his sons; Randy David and his wife Paula K. of Krotz Springs and Derrel David and his wife Darleen of Lafayette and 3 grandchildren; Brandi D. Meche and her husband Kevin of Opelousas, Doni David and his wife Casey of Opelousas and Lane DAvy and her husband Zeke of Lafayette and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Ullysis and Melecie David, a brother; 4 sisters and one grandchild; Brock David.

The family has requested that visitation will be observed at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs on Friday, Oct. 19th, from 2:00PM to 10:00PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00AM until the time of service.
