Shirley Leger Young

June 21, 1937 — April 26, 2024

In loving memory of Shirley Young, a cherished soul who graced this world with her presence and left a mark on all who knew her. Shirley, born on June 21, 1937, embraced life with a fervor that was truly infectious.

Throughout her life, Shirley's greatest joys were derived from the love she had for all her children and grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her, and she poured boundless affection into every moment spent with them. Shirley's legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those she held dear.

Shirley possessed a vibrant personality that drew others to her effortlessly. Full of life and always eager to be out and about, she embraced each day with an enthusiasm that was truly remarkable. Her laughter filled rooms with joy, and her presence could light up even the darkest of days.

Apart from her deep love for her family, Shirley found pleasure in various hobbies and interests. She had a passion for playing cards, especially enjoying games like bourré and blackjack. In her younger years, she delighted in playing golf and tennis. Shirley also found great joy in traveling and cooking for her loved ones, sharing delicious meals made with love.

Shirley is survived by her loving family: son Marty Young; daughters Lea Ann Bullara (husband Dean), Shirlene Young (fiancé Mike Dooley); brother Claude Leger (wife Audrey); sister Livian Doucet; along with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her husband Lee Young, son Troy Young, and her parents, William Claude Leger and Carmalite Lavergne Leger.
