Thelma Meche

Thelma Richard Meche was born on August 30, 1951 in Arnaudville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a resident of Kenner, LA and then Krotz Springs, LA.
Thelma, age 67, died at her residence in Krotz Springs, LA on April 9, 2020.
Thelma was primarily a homemaker but really enjoyed her time as a waitress. She had a heart of gold and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and working on word puzzles. Her favorite place to travel was the beach watching the ocean waves sometimes not realizing she was sunburned until too late.
She is survived by her husband, Clovis “Dusty” Meche, Jr.  of Krotz Springs, La.; daughter, Sondra Cifreo (Craig) of Metairie, La.; son Michael Meche of Harvey, La.. She is also survived by her brothers, Burton, Earl, and Ryan Richard, her sister, Earline Taylor, and her granddaughter, Meghan Elizabeth Cifreo and many nieces and nephews. She was also loved by her loyal furry companion, Dolly.
Thelma suffered for many years with multiple health issues and her family is going to find comfort knowing that she is now at peace. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Due to the mandated COVID 19 gathering restrictions, private graveside services will be held at the St. Anthony Catholic Church Mausoleum in Krotz Spring, LA.
Family and friends will be notified at a later date for a Memorial Celebration of Life once restrictions have been lifted.
