Ursula Doucet

Opelousas- Funeral services for Mrs. Ursula Marie R. Doucet, 84, will be held at 1:00P.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Monsignor Louis Melancon will officiate the services

Mrs. Doucet died at 11:10 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the St. Luke Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.

Ursula worked for 8 years at the Acadiana- St. Landry Hospital in Church Point as a cook in the Dietary Department

Survivors include her husband, Albert Doucet; two sons, Paul Tweedel and wife Linda of Lumberton, TX and Ronald Tweedel and wife Marcella of Lafayette; two brothers, J.B. Doc Richard of Opelousas and Emery Blue Richard of Opelousas; a sister, Shirley Savoy of Berwick; seven grandchildren, Judy Crocker, Kristy Thompkins, Terry Tweedel, Danny Tweedel, Candy Kelly, Bridget Soumeillan and Erin Tweedel; 12 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Doucet was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bridgett Comeaux Richard; first husband, Thomas Tweedel; two brothers, Lee Roy and Hubert Richard; three sisters, Sybil Bordelon, Judy Winn, and Leverda Villaruda and a grandchild, Chad Tweedel.

Visiting will be held at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. and will re-open at 9:00a.m. on Wednesday. A rosary service will be held at 6:30pm on Tuesday.

Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas has been entrusted with arrangements.
