Vergie Hoffpauir

Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Vergie Marie Hoffpauir, 68, will be held at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Ken Domingue will officiate the services.

Mrs. Hoffpauir, a native of Leonville and resident of Port Barre, died at 8:45PM on Monday, December 17, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Mr. Creighton J. Hoffpauir of Port Barre; daughter, Brenda Luneau and husband Andrew of Port Barre; two brothers, Percy Stelly and wife Georgie of Arnaudville, Jessie Stelly and wife Helen of Morgan City; two sisters, Mary Lanclos and husband Russell of Arnaudville and Cynthis Stelly of Arnaudville; three grandchildren, Brandon Luneau, Shane Hargroder and wife Stephanie of Port Barre and Brandi Carroll and husband Francis of Broussard; and two great grandchildren, Jackson Hargroder and Macyn Bertrand.

Mrs. Hoffpauir was preceded in death by her parents Donnadieu and Bertha Guillory Stelly and a sister Jeanette Taylor.

Visiting will be held at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 10:00a.m. -10:00p.m. and will re-open on Thursday at 8:00a.m. until service. A rosary service will begin at 7:00p.m. on Wednesday.
