Krotz Springs - Funeral services for Vincent Wiltz, Sr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs. Brother Rocky Warden and Bro. Allan Meyers will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs.
The family requests all visitors please wear a mask while attending the funeral services in the funeral home and for the service in church.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vincent Wiltz, Sr., age 75, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.
Vincent was the owner and operator of Cooling Tower Specialists, Inc. for over 35 years. He was a very dedicated businessman, creative and enjoyed inventing cooling towers. Vincent also was a former city councilman for the Town of Krotz Springs for several years. In his younger days, he was a deep-sea diver. Vincent enjoyed hunting, playing "Gin" with his wife and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Vincent is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Duplechain Wiltz of Krotz Springs; his daughter, Kathern Wiltz and companion, Brett Jones of Leonville; his sons, Vincent Wiltz, Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Magnolia, Arkansas; David Duplechain and wife, Shanna, of Alexandria; Terry Duplechain of Central; and Joseph Duplechain of West Virginia; his brothers, Paul Wiltz, Jr. and wife, Rebecca, of Port Allen; and Howard "Woody" Wiltz of Krotz Springs; his sisters, Bettye Wiltz, Vyrona Wiltz, and Acca Wiltz all of Krotz Springs; and Ruth Kimble and husband, Walter of Gulf Breeze, Florida. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Benjamin Wiltz (Shelbi), Scotty Leger, Mary Caroline Leger, John Paul Leger, Ethan Duplechain and Chandler Duplechain; and one great-grandchild, Harper Wiltz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Wiltz, Sr. and Acca McDaniel Wiltz and his brothers, Daniel Wiltz, Sr., and Louis Wiltz.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Wiltz, Scotty Leger, John Paul Leger, Walter Kimble, Howard Wiltz, and Paul Edward Wiltz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chandler Duplechain, Ethan Duplechain, and Daniel Wiltz, Jr.
