Viola will be remembered with love for the simple and lasting ways she brought warmth to the lives around her. Viola was a doll collector and took joy in the beauty and charm of her collection. She was also known as a great baker, especially for her homemade cinnamon rolls, which will remain a treasured memory to those who were fortunate enough to enjoy them. She liked a tidy yard and was often found sweeping her sidewalk to keep it clear of leaves, a small but meaningful reflection of the care she gave to her home and surroundings. Above all, Viola loved her family dearly, and that love was at the heart of her life.
She is survived by her children, Janie LeBleu, Lambert Castille, Jr. (Judy), Pearline Mercuro, Donnie Doucet (Mona) and Gwendolyn Doucet; her grandchildren, Kevin LeBleu (Stephanie), Christopher LeBleu (Shawna), Melanie Fontenot (Shane), Michelle Smith (Jeffery), Marsha Castille, Jason Castille, Jeffery Mercuro (Serenity), Jamison Doucet, Brittany Dalfrey (Damian) and Alexandra Doucet; her 28 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other dear family members.
Viola is preceded in death by her first husband, Lambert Castille, Sr. and her second husband, Levy Doucet; her parents, Ambrose and Corine Comeaux; her sisters,Vivian Matt and Marie Comeaux; her brother, Vincent Comeaux; and her son-in-law, Calvin LeBleu.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
