Virgie Joubert

Funeral services for MarieYo-Yo L. Joubert will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas with the interment in St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Brother Larry Schronce will conduct the services.

Mrs. Joubert, age 82, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009.

Marie is survived by her daughters; Delia Boudreaux of Leonville, Georgie Mae Simon of Lake Charles, Marie Benoit of Opelousas, Germaine Benoit of Georgia and Lou Ella Kerr of Scott, her sisters; Delphine LaGrange of Port Barre, Lorena Arnaud and Lillia Robin both of Port Barre. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by he parents; Louise Ann Douet and Louis Leger Sr, her husbands; Oscar Benoit and Burnley Joubert, Sr., daughter; Oscar Lee Benoit and sons; West Benoit and B.J. Joubert Jr., 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana for their tender loving care.

The family has requested that visitation will be observed on Friday September 25, 2009, from 10:00 AM until the time of service which will be at 3:00 PM.
