Wanda Thibodeaux

Funeral service for Wanda Vidrine Thibodeaux will be held on Tuesday February 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park. Fr. Paul Bienvenu will conduct the services.

Mrs. Thibodeaux, age 74 a resident of Opelousas and Jeanerette died Sunday February 8, 2009 at 1:32 am at Opelousas General Health System. She and her husband opened Thibodeaux Cajun Foods in 1974 and it is still operating today. She was a member of the Our Lady of Mercy Rosary Group.

Survivors include her husband; Edwin Broussard of Jeanerette, son; Scott Thibodeaux and wife Mandy of Opelousas, daughter; Jennifer Ann Thibodeaux Ledoux and husband Frank of Opelousas, step sons; Edwin Broussard of Lydia, Michael Broussard of Loreauville, Marion Broussard of Jeanerette and Francis Broussard of Lafayette, step daughters; Sandra Jacob of Lafayette, Susan Abadie of Lafayette, and Judy Champagne of Loreauville, brothers; James Roy Vidrine and wife Norma of Lawtell and Bobby John Vidrine and wife Marsha of Plaisance, sisters; Shirley Olivier and husband Sam of Eunice, Murris Gorley of Eunice, Barbara Brignac and husband Norman of Jeanerette, 2 grandchildren; Andrew Ledoux of Opelousas and Sara Ledoux of Lafayette and 1 great grandchild; Alli Blaine Ledoux, 21 step grandchildren and 7 step great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; Schurley and Agnes Sebastien Vidrine, her first husband; Ophie Louis Thibodeaux, sisters; Dorothy Thibodeaux, Wilma McMillan and Betty Doucet, brothers; Alvin James Vidrine and Gerald Vidrine.

Visitation will be Monday February 9, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday from 8:00 am till time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Monday.
