Opelousas – A memorial celebration of Wayne Lee Perry will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La.
Visitation is planned on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery located at 4833 Hwy 182 S., Opelousas, LA 70570.
It is with great sadness, we announce the death of Wayne Lee Perry, a resident of Crowley Lake, California for the past 30 years, and formerly of Opelousas, Louisiana. Wayne was born in Opelousas in March 1953 and passed away in Crowley Lake in July 2022 at the age of 69.
Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and camped throughout his beloved Sierra Nevada Mountains where he lived. He was a dedicated LSU and New Orleans Saints sports fan.
Wayne worked as a manager in the maintenance field for condominium complexes. He was a chef in numerous restaurants in Mammoth Lakes and in Big Bear, California. He introduced patrons of one Big Bear restaurant to authentic Cajun and Creole cooking, which was very well received.
Survived by his brother, Arthur T. Perry, his aunt-Jeanine Perry, and numerous cousins. Predeceased by his father, Nelson Perry, his mother, Marie Fisher Perry, and his brother, Thomas Perry.
