Krotz Springs-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bailey MacKenzie Castille, age 19, announces his passing on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Mr. Castille was born in Opelousas and was a longtime resident of Krotz Springs. He enjoyed being outdoors and watching sunsets and sunrises. He was artistically inclined to pencil drawing many nature scenes. As a pastime, he would take photographs of nature, swamps, flowers, and outdoor scenes. He also loved horses, driving, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Bernadette Nolan and Harry Nolan; grandmother, Norma Leblanc; his brothers, Joseph E. ("Lil Penny") Castille, Jr. and Albert Castille; his sisters, Lauren Parish and Matthew Leger, and Britnee Castille; niece, Riley Leger; nephew, Luke Leger; godmother, Robin Vidrine; godfather, Philip Fontenot; Melissa Naquin ("Nanny") and Randal Dupuy; aunt, April Reed and Cody Reed; and uncle, Chad Beard. Bailey is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. ("Penny") Castille, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Willie Burton ("Billy") Parish and Geneva Parish; paternal grandparents, Maurice Castille and AnnaLou Stelly Angelle; and aunt, Tammy Parish.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Fontenot, Alex Bowman, Philip Fontenot, Joseph Castille, Jr., Matthew Leger, and Albert Castille.
The family will be having a Memorial on Thursday, September 10, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Krotz Springs.
