It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brandi Nicole Darbonne Robinson, age 41, on October 27, 2021, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She was a native of Opelousas, LA, and a resident of Grapevine, TX.
Brandi was a graduate of University of Louisiana Lafayette. She was a salesperson and worked in many different industries. She was currently working as a Corporate Loan Production Partner with Thrive Mortgage closing loans for real estate.
Brandi enjoyed tailgating at football games and supporting the LSU Tigers, ULL Ragin Cajuns, and the New Orleans Saints. She was a proud Louisiana Cajun Girl who shared the love of her heritage, Louisiana culture, food, and festivals especially Mardi Gras. She cooked many Cajun dishes and loved to share recipes. She was known for cooking her gumbo and potato salad for others. She enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, and taking her dogs to the dog park. Brandi was an outgoing, people person and never met a stranger.
Her lively spirit along with her love of helping others meant she also enjoyed fundraising and being charitable. If there was a person or animal in need, you could be sure that Brandi would be involved in some way or another. This is why she participated in a variety of charitable and fundraising opportunities. Brandi had a strong sense of community and helping others brought her joy. This is undoubtedly reflected in the fact that Brandi chose to be an organ donor which will continue her legacy of charity and helping others. She will be remembered for her larger-than-life personality and her ability to spread joy and excitement wherever she went. Brandi will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
