Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial for Chris Anthony LeDoux will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA.  Fr. Gregory Simien will celebrate the Mass.  Rite of Committal and burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Chris Anthony LeDoux, age 57, on Monday, August 30, 2021. He was a native of Opelousas, LA, and a longtime resident of Coushatta, LA.

Chris was a Sawyer at a sawmill for 39 years.  He loved visiting and being with his family and friends.  His pastime was processing and smoking meat and watching the LSU and Saints football games.  He will be incredibly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandra Ardoin LeDoux of Coushatta; his daughters, Josephine Renee Vidrine and Jessica Nicole LeDoux; and one grandchild, Austin Blake Grigg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Freeman LeDoux and Nelma Olivier LeDoux; and his brothers, Steve LeDoux and Mark LeDoux.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.  A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.  The funeral home will re-open on Friday, September 3, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be David Ardoin, Dawson Ardoin, Kevin Olivier, Jaret Ardoin, Gary Sepulvado, and Robert Frederick.
