Krotz Springs - Funeral services for Donald Savant will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs, La. Brother Sam Ham will officiate. Burial will follow in the First Pentecostal Cemetery of Melville.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donald Savant, age 55, on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Donald's family, especially his grandchildren, were the light of life. His world revolved around them. He also enjoyed watching LSU football and the Saints. When he wasn't with his family, you could find him mowing his grass or fixing something around the house. Donald will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his companion, Liz Deville, of Melville, La.; sons, Eric (Kristen) Woodson, of Pecaniere, La., Jordan (Holly) Taylor, of Port Barre, La., and Brent (Moe) Varnado, of Seattle, Wa.; daughter, Kristy Deville, of Melville, La.; sister, Darlene (Charles) Varnado, of Erwinville, La.; grandchildren, Madison Woodson, Morgan Woodson, Espen Taylor, Gabbie Deville, Briley Ardoin, Kieley Ardoin, Annaliese Ardoin, Bristol Jolie Thibodeaux and Benji Varnado; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph "Wango" and Janice Savant; and son, Blake Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Eric Woodson, Jordan Taylor, Rusty Boudreaux, Omar Hingle, Larry Savant and Bradly Hingle.
