Elizabeth Duplechain

Krotz Springs – A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Reverend Michael DeBlanc will celebrate the Mass.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Duplechain, age 80, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the outdoors sitting on her swing. She loved and enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with them. Peanut, who was Elizabeth's four legged friend was also loved and treated like a member of the family. Elizabeth will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Michael P. Duplechain, Sr. of Krotz Springs, La.; her daughter, Monique Duplechain of Krotz Springs, La. and her sister, Corita Thibodeaux of Denham Springs, La.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Amber Duplechain, Lacey Duplechain-Fontenot, Michael Duplechain, Jr., Harley Duplechain, Micheala Coslett, Mikenzee Coslett, Eric Lanclos and Laci Lanclos and ten great-grandchildren, Daegan, Taylem, Maddaxx, Paisley, Sophia, Kaitlynn, Allena, Amelia, Elizabeth and Madelynn.

She was as preceded in death by her husband, Leodice Duplechain, her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Richard Savoy; her daughter and son-in-law, Connie Duplechain and Oran Barron and her sisters, Eva Mae Ellis, Loretta Roy and Mary Ryder.

Ms. Duplechain's family would like to extend a special thank you to Theresa Wolfe and the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their compassion and loving care.
