Opelousas - Funeral services for Harold LeJeune will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the funeral service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Rosary at 1:30 p.m. with burial to follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, La.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold LeJeune, age 87, of Opelousas, La. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at his residence in Youngsville, La.
Harold worked as the Chief Deputy Tax Assessor for St. Landry Parish for over 40 years. He also volunteered his time as a Eucharistic Minister at Doctor’s Hospital for many years. He was a member of the Elks Club and Woodman of the World. Harold loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting and traveling. He was a very talented musician and played the accordion and guitar. Harold also loved researching genealogy on his family history. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons, Michael K. LeJeune and James P. LeJeune and his daughter, Jeanne L. Saucier; his six grandchildren, Amber R. Mancuso and husband, Howard, Michael K. LeJeune, Jr., Logan LeJeune and wife, Harley, Collin LeJeune, Robert C. Saucier and wife, Ellie, Erin Saucier; seven great-grandchildren and his previous daughter-in-law, Theresa Lovejoy and previous wife, Elaine Barazze.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae Fontenot LeJeune; his parents, Joachin and Aline Jagneaux LeJeune; his previous wife and the mother of his children, Hazel T. LeJeune; his son, Harold Joseph LeJeune; his grandson, Andrew K. LeJeune; his sister, Dulcie Jeffers; his daughter-in-law, Michelle B. LeJeune.
