Krotz Springs - Funeral services for John Nathaniel Reeves, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Krotz Springs, LA.  Father Michael DeBlanc will conduct the service.  Burial will follow in the St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs, LA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs.  A Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. John Nathaniel Reeves, Jr., age 42, on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee.

John was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA, and then moved to Tennessee in 2014.  John was a very creative person.  He enjoyed writing poetry and drawing.  He loved being outdoors, fishing, and watching LSU Football.  John will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Ellis Blanchard of Port Allen, LA; his paternal grandmother, Betty Joyce Davidson Reeves of Tennessee; his sisters, Valerie Reeves Dibenedetto of Krotz Springs, LA; Sydney Blanchard of New Orleans, LA; Lauren Reeves of Tennessee, and Maranda Baham Reeves of Tennessee; niece, Skylar Dibenedetto of St. Francisville, LA; and his companion, Marsha Wilkerson of Maryland.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Nathaniel Reeves, Sr.; his maternal grandmother, Lora Savoie Dupre; his maternal grandfather, J.B. Ellis, Sr.; and his paternal grandfather, Melvin Wayne Reeves.

Pallbearers will be David Blanchard, Dale Ellis, Trey Mason, James Ellis, Kevin Lillis and Tracey Bihm.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Crain, Nick Ellis and Brandi Lillis.
